Organization

What is CSC?

Our mission is to empower family caregivers by offering innovative solutions, support, and resources designed to support their needs and those of their loved ones. Join us in transforming the caregiving experience into one of strength, community, and hope.

What legal structure is the organization?
It is a South Carolina Public Benefit Corporation.
Why is our approach different?

At Caregiver Solutions Cooperative (CSC), we’ve embraced a unique strategy to combat the challenges caregivers face, with a special emphasis on alleviating financial pressures—a critical aspect often overlooked.

Recognizing the significance of financial well-being as a cornerstone for reducing overall stress, we’ve pioneered a dedicated shopping platform exclusively for caregivers.

This platform offers essential goods and services at reduced costs and creates pathways for caregivers to generate additional income, addressing a vital need within our community.

What experience do the founders of CSC have in the field?

Vishal Patel’s life changed at 28 when a stroke left him paralyzed and unable to speak. With his wife Deepa and family’s help, he fought back to almost normal in five years. But then, a second worse stroke hit him at 36. This meant Deepa and the family had to care for him, maybe forever.

Deepa, even as a trained physical therapist, struggled with the hard parts of caregiving. They felt alone, like many caregivers do. But they learned something important: when caregivers are healthy, the people they care for do better too.

Deepa found out she was one of 53 million caregivers in the U.S., working hard without much help or notice. It was tough finding the right support and tools to care for Vishal, adding more stress to her life.

Vishal saw how hard this was for Deepa and learned that more than half of caregivers are struggling just like her, with money problems, feeling alone, and not knowing enough to help their loved ones the best they can.

This sparked an idea…Vishal and Deepa wanted to help caregivers not feel so alone and stressed.

They created Caregiver Solutions Cooperative (CSC) to do just that. CSC is where caregivers can find help, save money, and contribute to the wider caregiver community.

What makes you think you can convince companies to help us?

Apart from doing extensive research with service and product providers that covet the caregiving community, we are blessed to have Mr. Stuart Williams of In Place Impact as a board member, our first investor, and our strategic advisor.

It was 30 years ago this year that Stuart co-created the first global platform of “Making A Profit While Making A Difference,” he remains one of the world’s leading experts on helping companies match their profits with their purpose.

He also sits on the board of Sustainable Brands and has access to the leaders of many of the world’s largest consumer packaged goods and healthcare companies.

Not only does he convey to those companies why they need to help the communities they covet, but he also helps them design the programs through which they can do it.

With so many different rare diseases and chronic conditions out there, we often find ourselves split into smaller groups focused on specific conditions.

That’s why coming together is crucial. When we join forces, we can use our collective buying power and voices to push for real, lasting changes.

By working together, we can build strong connections with companies that want to support us. We can encourage them to offer us great value and, in return, provide them with helpful feedback, boost their sales, and help them achieve their goals as good corporate citizens.

Our organization is built on the latest technology that ensures we’re always open and accountable in what we do. We use community voting to make big decisions, like choosing new features for our platform, deciding which companies to work with, and figuring out the best ways to use our funds.

It’s really important to us that everyone understands this isn’t a multi-level marketing (MLM) or network marketing scheme.

There’s no pyramid structure, no payment for bringing in new members, and no requirement for anyone to buy anything.

We’re all about coming together for support and change. This isn’t a handout. This is a true cooperative where everyone contributes to the success of the project and has a say in the project’s future.

Income

How can I make an income?

By becoming an Ambassador and socializing the online shopping platform where family caregivers can purchase the products and services they need at greatly discounted prices.

How does the Ambassador program work?

CSC uses the power of its membership to negotiate low prices for the products and services our members require.

  • The providers of the products and services put them on our online shopping site for free.
  • Each Ambassador is given a unique code to share with their personal and professional networks.
  • When a purchase is made, the buyer will use the unique code upon checkout, which tells us which Ambassador was responsible for that sale.
  • The vendor pays us up to a 10% commission, of which an average of 55% is directly paid to the Ambassador.
  • The store payment systems are designed so that as soon as a purchase is finalized, the vendor and Ambassador receive their funds immediately.
  • If no Ambassador is mentioned, the funds go into a Fund Account and will be distributed periodically through voting by the community.
Is this anything to do with multi-level and or network marketing?

No. There are no tiers, no pyramids, no one must refer new people, and no one is mandated to buy anything.

How do I become an Ambassador?

Ambassadors are:

  1. A caregiver to a family member with a chronic condition or special need
  2. Not paid for providing those caregiving services
  3. Willing and able to socialize the existence of a shopping platform
  4. Able to be employed as an independent contractor in the United States

Candidates are interviewed virtually at a convenient time. Once approved, they are given a unique code, basic training, content, and ongoing support from our team of experts.

How much money can I make and when do you pay it?

CSC pays commissions monthly. 53,000,000 people in America provide unpaid care to family members with chronic conditions or special needs.

Over 60% of those people experience financial stress, and our research has shown that the ability to save money on the products and services they need to buy is very appealing to them.

We cannot tell you how much money you can make. There is no minimum or maximum you can earn.

The math is straightforward: For every thousand dollars shoppers spend using your code, you earn $55.

So let’s say you have ten people using your code and they spend on average $200 every month. That would be approximately $2000 per month in sales, providing you with a $110 commission each month.

Do I receive ongoing commissions?

Yes. You will receive the commissions every time a customer uses your code when buying something.

Will you have content on special needs financial planning etc.?

Yes. Our goal is to provide the community with a comprehensive suite of tools and actionable opportunities to make a difference in their lives every day.

Do you have materials I can send or use on social media to promote the site to my networks?

Yes, we’ll have a complete package with ongoing support from our team to help you spread the word as easily and seamlessly as possible.

Do you have materials I can send out and or use on social media to promote the site to my networks?
Yes.

Membership

What does it cost to be a member?

Absolutely nothing. There are no membership fees or purchase requirements.

Membership in CSC will always be free for unpaid caregivers, so join us at caresoco.com to create the future we wish to be a part of together.

How many members will there be?
There is no limit to the membership as our platform uses technology that allows us to scale easily and rapidly.

The larger the membership, the more purchasing and political power we will have. Hence, we plan to welcome millions of members

Who can join?

Anyone who can verify that they are a caregiver to a family member with a chronic condition or special need.

Technically, any Supporter can register as a Member, purchase from the site and contribute to an Ambassador or the Fund Account.

Only individuals verified as caregivers to a family member with a chronic condition or special need will be given access to the community as Community Members.

Our community is more than just friendship and support. Dive into free webinars and workshops that cover everything from self-care and caregiving to smart product choices.

Plus, discover tips and stories from members just like you, helping you to learn, grow, and provide the best care.

  • Learn from others’ wins and challenges
  • Access expert advice on health and caregiving
  • Join groups pushing for deals on what you need
  • Share your experiences and earn as an Ambassador

And, we welcome special guests like vendors and pros to share their wisdom, all to make sure you’re equipped to care for yourself and your loved ones.

Through another process, Caregiver Members can be approved as Ambassador Members and handed a unique code to distribute in their circles.

Ambassadors, for the platform, do nothing more than socialize the platform’s existence throughout their personal networks and earn an income on sales when shoppers use their unique code.

Special members such as vendor representatives, verified caregiver supporters, content providers, professionals, trainers, organization representatives, and the like may be invited to the community with the appropriate limitations.

How many members will there be?

As many as we can possibly accommodate as the larger the membership, the more purchasing and political power we will have. Hence, we would welcome millions of members

Health

Is this about the health of the person I am caring for?

No, we do not pretend to be a site focusing on specific conditions. CSC focuses on the caregiver’s health because it has been proven repeatedly that the healthier s/he is, the better the outcome will be for the person they care for.

Can I request that the organization negotiate for better pricing on the products and services I require for the person I am caring for?

Yes. Please tell us exactly what you want and need most; our team will find vendors to add those products and services to the platform.

That is the BEST way to help CSC succeed. There’s no point in having vendors on the platform offering products and services no one wants to buy.

How do you think you can improve my health?

In many ways, but primarily by reducing your:

  1. Financial stress, e.g., saving you money and providing you with the ability to earn an income
  2. Emotional stress, e.g., surrounding you with people who have walked a mile in your shoes, thereby short-circuiting your learning curve, providing you with best practices, an expanded support network, etc.
  3. Communal stress, e.g., surrounding you with a community that cares
  4. Educational stress, e.g., providing you with easy access to a great deal of information you need to have

We also believe that by allowing you to access actionable free content about how to improve your health, along with the ability to buy certain healthier related products more cheaply, we can help you get healthier.
