People who provide unpaid care to family members with chronic conditions face a number of challenges that can significantly impact their lives. Some of the biggest problems they may face include:

Lack of support

Caregivers may feel overwhelmed and unsupported, especially if they do not have access to adequate resources and services. This can include a lack of information about the care recipient’s condition, a lack of respite care or other forms of temporary relief, and a lack of emotional support from family and friends

Overall, caregiving can be a challenging and stressful experience that can significantly impact the lives of those who provide care.

We realize that the most direct way to start reducing these stresses is by starting with our financial stress. There are other ways, but this is defiantly not done enough. So, our first focus is a shopping platform that provides the goods and services we need saving us money and building opportunities to help fellow caregivers earn much needed extra income. Side by side is a community environment for sharing, learning, and even participating in decisions that shape the movement of the cooperative.
